Now we introduce the external mold to everyone. External mold consists of the upper die, lower die, front clamp and back clamp. The external mold matches with bending machine and mandrel. It clamps the outside of pipe throughout the cold bending process; in order to reduce the ovality of cold bending pope, the steel pipe bends along the upper die while the lower die, front die and back die clamp the steel pipe. One type hydraulic bending machine can make many different diameter pipes, but the pipes of different diameter must match with the whole external mold to ensure the good quality of bending forming.
